Christie Weber, her brother Pat McDonald, and a huge supporting cast put on quite a party to help preserve the iconic steel bridge in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Listen in to an audio collage featuring some of the songwriters, music lovers and staff of Steel Bridge SongFest II. Listen to interviews with headliner Jackson Browne, Dorothy Scott, Anna Sacks, Allen McFee, Laine Sterling, Anna Lee Scully, Charlie Cheney, Troy Therrien and more. Caitlin Oleson and Barbara Luhring handle the interviews. Emily Wolfe created the photos.

Caitlin Oleson goes on the road to Leo Feldman and RiverRat Gallery’s “Drive By” multimedia art exhibit commemorating the National Rifle Association Convention held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This pro-gun, pro-American, pro-NRA show featured works by Bob Watt, Johnie Shimon, pp d’CaCa, Erick von Munz, David Ruehl, Kris Ward and more. RiverRat Gallery is Milwaukee’s only homeless gallery. This unique urban art show was held in an alley adjacent to the fabulous Amazon Pizza. Listen in as Caitlin interviews Feldman’s curator Jimmy von Milwaukee along with artists pp d’CaCa, Erick von Munz, David Ruehl, and Kris Ward.

Brandon is in Door County to pitch Steven Diedrick of Redmond Research about becoming a corporate sponsor for his skateboard team.

As part of a recent performance, Caitlin Oleson traveled to the Art Institute of Chicago on a very busy and crowded afternoon to record audio that Gregg Luhring mixed with original music to become Caitlin’s impressions of 4 paintings from their permanent collection. Its’ lease expired on August 31, 2005, and talks between the property owner (Bowery Residents Committee) and club founder Hilly Kristal had stalled over alleged unpaid rent and safety concerns. Caitlin Oleson talks with Hilly Kristal at his iconic club CBGB in the Bowery, NYC. Kristal has been remarkably sanguine in the face of the fact that perhaps CBGB’s time has come as the neighborhood continues its gentrification. (This was the first podcast interview Hilly Kristal ever granted.)
