Barbara Luhring talks with old friend and proprietor of the new White Rose Healing Art Center of Fish Creek, Gale Ritchey. Gale talks about her new studio, her art work, healing work and the personal journey that brought her to Door County.

Door County artist and musician Jeanne Kuhns talks with Barbara Luhring about her summer concert series that is switching venues for 2009. The series outgrew the wonderful Town Hall Bakery in Jacksonport, and has found a new home at the Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor. Jeanne has a diverse group of talented musicians making their way to Egg Harbor every Friday night this summer. She talks about the schedule and the beautiful music that will be filling the barn which was lovingly restored by Margaret Lockwood and Allin Walker.
Jeanne also talks about her son Eli Mattson and his music career that took off after his runner-up finish on America’s Got Talent.
Woodwalk Gallery is home to Margaret’s original oil paintings and their gallery featuring over 40 artists.

Matt Luders, Northern Door County YMCA program director and Denise Stillman Northern Door Strong Kids co-chair talk about their Sunday fundraiser - the Buckaroo Buffet - at Alexander’s in Fish Creek. They also discuss the Strong Kids program and the fact that it’s not just for children. Listen in!
Door County Icon Norb Blei has come out with a third edition of his 1987 Door County classic Meditations on a Small Lake. In June, Pastor Michael Brecke of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church convinced him to perform selected readings from the book. The result was a packed house and Blei at his fesity best. Listen in.

Barbara Luhring listens in to a conversation between Door County orchard grower Dale Seaquist and his youngest son Allen, a high school senior at Gibraltar School. Dale is the patriarch of Seaquist Orchards, a family business that has been growing, processing and selling apple and cherry products for many years.
