Barbara Luhring listens in to a conversation between Door County orchard grower Dale Seaquist and his youngest son Allen, a high school senior at Gibraltar School. Dale is the patriarch of Seaquist Orchards, a family business that has been growing, processing and selling apple and cherry products for many years. Dale talks about his history in the fruit growing business, as well as what led him to choose farming over the life of a musician. Listen in and learn about another Door County icon!

On-the-Road: pat mAcdonald and the Steel Bridge SongFest 2007

Barbara Luhring goes on the road to Sturgeon Bay for a talk with singer/songwriter pat mAcdonald about Steel Bridge SongFest III. This year’s SongFest takes place June 9-16, 2007 in Historic Downtown Sturgeon Bay. Headlining artists include Jackson Browne, Jane Wiedlin, Stan Ridgeway and Grant Phillips. During the interview they are joined by Pat’s sister Christie Weber, who discusses the purpose of the festival - to raise money for the repair and upkeep of the historic Michigan Street bridge in Sturgeon Bay and Adam Macintosh, a singer/songwriter from Denver who took part in the songwriter’s Construction Zone at the Holiday Motel last year.

On-the-Road: Isadoora Theatre Company rehearses for their biggest show ever in their five year history

Isadoora Theatre Company celebrates its 5th birthday with a blockbuster production of Chicago to be performed at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek. Listen in to artistic director Christi Callsen, choreographer Jane Hillstrom, director Ross Dippel, board president Holly Feldman and cast members as they give you a taste of what drives people to participate in community theater in Door County.
