Barbara Luhring talks with Door County author Rob Zoschke about his latest book Door County Blues. The book was  Published  In Heaven, author Ron Whitehead’s publishing imprint. Of Robert Zoschke’s work author Norbert Blei calls it a “maniacal monological mélange of words.” What does Zoschke say about his life before and during Door? Norb Blei discusses Reflections upon the 50th anniversary…Jack Kerouac’s On the Road with the book’s editors Ron Whitehead and Rob Zoschke

Host Barbara Luhring listens in as Norb Blei, Ron Whitehead and Rob Zoschke discuss Ron and Rob’s newly published editorial homage to the 50th anniversary of beat writer Jack Kerouauc’s On the Road. The book is called Reflections upon the 50th anniversary…Jack Kerouac’s On the Road. The discussion covers Kerouac’s influence on their own work and lives to his influence on writers, artists, and musicians since On the Road was published by Viking in 1957. Norb, Ron and Rob all have written pieces and artwork in the book which includes 43 other national and international writers, artists and photographers, including individuals from Door County. Lawrence Ferlinghetti, proprietor of City Lights Bookshop and Publishing House in San Francisco and acclaimed poet created the cover illustration especially for this book. At the end of the discussion Ron Whitehead does a reading of his new poem Looking for Jack Kerouac. This is a passionate discussion about one of the 20th century’s most influential authors.
