  • Door County Icon Series: Keta Steebs

    Keta SteebsUPDATE 5/3/13
Keta Steebs, one of Door County’s most prolific writers died at her home in Sturgeon Bay on April 26, 2013 at 88 years of age. She was a one-of-a-kind, living-out-loud female in a community where assertive women with opinions are not always appreciated. This is one assertive, opinionated woman that greatly appreciated her.

Keta literally worked up until the day she died, and in doing so left us with a valuable lesson. That lesson is to live like your best days are in front of you – not behind you. Lesson learned Keta. Thanks for that.
